Lady Gaga's Fame Fragrance Branded as Innovative

Lady-Gaga-Fame-Fragrance-Branded-as-Innovative

The lady who managed to spark controversy with every appearance, Lady Gaga is preparing to launch her first fragrance Fame, which was branded by Coty chief executive officer as innovative. Check out the direction Gaga went with her fragrance!

She's managed to stir up the entertainment scene with her innovative sound and look and it seems that now Lady Gaga is preparing to conquer new terrain, this time in the world of perfume. Lady Gaga is preparing to battle other celebrities who launched into the fragrance business by launching her very first scent titled 'Fame', a perfume that has been labeled by Coty chief executive officer 'innovative'. Mr Beetz said about the house's collaboration with Lady Gaga that:

“Lady Gaga joins a legendary cast of talent for whom Coty has created scents. Gaga’s launch represents my personal credo brought to life....Innovate or die! Absolutely everything about this launch is innovative, from the bottle, to the juice, to the lady herself....She’s zeitgeist in a bottle.”

Despite the fact the diva envisioned at first her fragrance to display notes of blood and semen, which to be honest would have been a bit too much for us to handle, the fragrance thankfully took a different approach to boosting sensuality and enchanting one's olfactory senses by maintaining its innovative pattern.

According to WWD, the perfumers that worked with Gaga to create Fame pushed the boundaries and created a unique formula as it doesn't have top, middle and base notes. Steve Mormoris, Coty's marketing senior VP said:

“It’s unique because it’s not pyramidal with a top, middle and bottom note, it has a trampoline structure — notes are rising at different rates that are quite random. Some accords will come out if you rub it, other accords will come out later. It has random propulsion and doesn’t have a classic linear drydown. We call it push-pull, and it will smell different on different people. There is a different volatility for different notes, and they’re of differing strengths. They work together harmoniously, but then they undergo metamorphosis on the skin, so you’re constantly surprised.”

Apparently Fame is also unique through it's color as it is the first black eau de parfum created. The diva is known for her unique style, so no wonder that she wanted to make sure her scent is as unique as she is. Mr. Mormoris told WWD that:

“It is the first-ever black eau de parfum and we use language like ‘black like the soul of fame but invisible once airborne,’ which makes the fragrance an allusion to the dark side of fame, the price of fame and the narcissism of fame. The soul of fame being black was the intellectual foundation of the color of the fragrance.”

Lady Gaga's first scent is described as dark, sensual and light, may we dare say just as the singer, accords inspired by the poisonous Belladonna plant, honey, saffron, apricot nectar, tiger orchid and jasmine sambac, so the mix of fruity-floral scents with a bit of a twist is set to conquer the hearts of women across the world. The innovative juice is featured in a simple egg-shaped glass bottle with a cool claw-inspired gold colored top and will be retailed in various sizes. The 100 ml eau de parfum fragrance titled by Gaga 'The Ultimate Masterpiece' will sell for about $79, while the 50 ml scent will be priced at $55. The perfume will also be available in 30 ml size and cost $42 as well as a mini, 10 ml rollerball version which will cost about $19.

Stylish, chic, innovative and artistic are the best ways to describe Lady Gaga's fragrance, so check it out as soon as it hits the shelves and find out if it suits your personality.

Shine by Heidi Klum New Fragrance

Just a while back we've announced the exciting new project Heidi Klum has embarked on: creating her very own fragrance. Now we're pleased to
announce the fact that the project is starting to become a reality as the design and latest details about the project were finally revealed. Find out the latest details about the diva's project.

It seems like Heidi Klum has really dedicated a lot of her energy in developing her first signature scent. The first pictures of the new scent, 'Shine', as well as its defining notes have already been revealed. The gorgeous supermodel has been working closely with her team of experts and the results are starting to show.

For the perfume, Heidi chose to combine femininity and luxury for an alluring and sophisticated scent: “There are different moods that as a fragrance creator you can travel to. But for my first one, I wanted what I felt my staple would be. I wanted it to be sensual and feminine, but still luxurious and expensive-smelling — because I think there are so many perfumes out there that smell cheap and too sweet.”

A floral oriental based perfume seems to have been the winning combination the diva along with Aurélien Guichard, Jean Guichard and Olivier Pescheux of Givaudan have ultimately decided on. As a result, ' Shine' will mesmerize women with delicate mandarin, pear and pink peppercorn as top notes.

The core notes of the fragrance consisting of mimosa absolute, lily of the valley and sunflower will add complexity to the fragrance while the base notes that will include vanilla, Venezuelan tonka bean and musk  will add the final defining touches to this wonderful bouquet of scents.

As far as the bottle is concerned, classicism and minimalism seem to be the core concepts embraced: an opulent golden shade that exudes opulence in a surprisingly minimalistic matter that is truly synonymic with high class. Available in three sizes, the eaux de toilette will have prices ranging from $17 to $35.

No detail is left to chance and as a result, the ad campaign due to be released in September has already been planned. It appears that Heidi is a big proponent of naturalness and trustfulness when it comes to advertising. As a result, she is opposed to too many photo retouches: “You can sell a dream, and you can sell a lifestyle that a woman aspires to have, but you can’t completely trick her. If people retouch me too much, I get upset — yes, you can help me out a little here and there, but don’t go overboard. I have one tooth that’s longer than another, and if you look at the [Shine] ad my snaggletooth is coming out a little bit — but I like that.”

With everything carefully planned out, it seems that the diva has already started planning ahead. Heidi seems quite confident that her first scent will meet the projected sales figures, so much so that she is already planning to release two additional fragrances: one for spring 2011, while another is due to be launched in the fall of 2013. That's certainly wonderful news for the millions of fans who will come to adore her first fragrance.

Shakira Launches S by Shakira Eau Florale Fragrance

Shakira launches her second fragrance, which follows her debut scent, S by Shakira. The sexy Colombian singer has once again joined forces with Puig
Cosmetics in order to create a new line of fragrances and beauty products, and the newest scent is 'S' by Shakira Eau Florale.

Beautiful Colombian singer Shakira launches her second fragrance named 'S' by Shakira Eau Florale. This new scent follows her debut signature fragrance, 'S' by Shakira, which was released last year, in September. "As in a song, a scent is made up of different notes, singles, which together form a harmony," the singer said back then.
Speaking about her first experience in this domain, Shakira also added that, "My feeling is that personal care and beauty should not only be effortless but accessible for everyone."

This time, the 32-year-old singer wanted something able to exude simplicity, with just a few notes that combined all together to leave a strong impression. If the first fragrance was inspired by the singer's search for well-being and bliss, through 'S' by Shakira Eau Florale, Shakira says that, "I wanted to find a way to express the feeling of pure happiness through the medium of fragrance."

Shakira played a major role in the developing of the scent. In fact, the perfume was created by the singer herself with the help of an expert, the perfumer Elisabeth Vidal. The same thing happened with 'S' in 2010. According to José Manuel Albesa of Puig, the manufacturer behind Shakira's debut fragrance, the sexy singer was "extremely hands-on" during the entire process.

'S' by Shakira Eau Florale was described as being a "floral explosion, which expresses positive vibes, youthful you and vitality." It is a modern floral scent that embodies optimism, energy, femininity, youthfulness, and sensuality.
Evoking floral freshness and vigour are amazing accords of jasmine, heliotrope, bergamot and cassis. Next, delicious notes of wild fruits such as raspberries, blackberries and blueberries are added in order to revive happiness. And finally, we have a daring duo of fresh vanilla and musk for a creamy sensuality.

The bottle keeps the shape of the original, with a certain fluidity and a feeling of movement, but it takes a more gentle and romantic design. And of course, the bottle has no cap signifying the barefoot Shakira and comes with the symbolic 'S' pendant that hangs from it, which expresses an amulet for bliss that the singer wanted to share.
"When you give someone a fragrance, you're giving them something of yourself. It's a gift of your essence," Shakira said in a statement before releasing her first fragrance.

'S' by Shakira Eau Florale is available as 50 and 80 ml EDT, 100 ml body lotion and 150 ml deodorant.

Kate Middleton's Wedding Day Perfume Revealed

Kate Middleton's wedding day perfume is finally revealed! For royal event, the Duchess of Cambridge veiled herself in a delicate floral scent from a little-
known British perfume brand. Find out what was Kate Middleton's wedding day perfume of choice!

The Royal Wedding caused quite a media-frenzy as everyone wanted to know every detail about Kate Middleton's wedding dress, makeup and hairstyle as well as with regards to what perfume she wore on the big day.

As soon as Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out of the Goring Hotel in her breathtaking wedding dress, people gave their verdict: perfect. But the mystery of the fragrance still persisted until finally, it's been revealed that Catherine opted for a British perfume brand that surprisingly isn't very famous.

According to Daily Mail the perfume is White Gardenia Petals by Illuminum, a pleasant floral fragrance that just enchants your senses. Illuminum describes the perfume as:

“As fragrant as a vase of white flowers, quivering in the breeze by an open window, this is a delicate and refined perfume. The top notes of Lilly evoked a tropic seaside location, whilst the heart notes of White Gardenia, Muguet and Jasmine Breeze bring a trio if white flowers into play. Amber Wood underscores this light and capricious bouquet.”

The fragrance packaging is simplistic and elegant at the same time, features given by a frosted contemporary cubic glass bottle and a boxed shaped metallic cap. Illuminum has been created by celebrity hair stylist Michael Boardi in 2007 so it's a relatively new brand but not one that is overlooked by celebs.
The perfume retails for about £70 for a 50ml bottle and since Kate wore this fragrance on her wedding day it's probably going to sell like warm bread.

Givenchy Dahlia Noir Fragrance

The luxury brand Givenchy is preparing to launch a new perfume Dahlia Noir, the first one under the command of the beloved designer Riccardo Tisci.
Elegant and sophisticated, the new scent has a mysterious touch attached to it being intriguing, yet extremely refined. Discover the defining notes of the new Givenchy perfume and find out more about its release date.

Givenchy is preparing an alluring new scent to enchant our senses and amp up seductiveness with a brand new fragrance. Called Dahlia Noir, the fragrance is set to be released in late August 2011. The brand has already chosen the face of the first perfume to be released under the guidance of Riccardo Tisci: Italian super model Mariacarla Boscono, who has successfully represented the fashion house in the past.

The latest perfume brings together a wonderful bouquet of scents that are skillfully combined to be gentle, yet sophisticated, mysterious and refined. The top notes, mandarin, pink pepper and mimosa merge perfectly with the floral heart of the fragrance which brings together a delicate rose, iris and patchouli combo. At the base of the perfume, notes of sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean add the final touches of the latest Givenchy fragrance.

The perfume bottle has a simple, classic design with minimalist touches. The name of the fragrance, Dahlia Noir, is elegantly displayed on a silver plate on top of the bottle in an inconspicuous manner, closely following the main concepts the perfume is based on. The fragrance will be available in 30, 50 and 75 ml bottles.

The latest project of the brand might be the subject of multiple controversies if we are to judge by the probable source of inspiration for the ad campaign. The name choice for the fragrance and the way the ad campaign photo is presented seem to point out the fact that the fragrance is inspired by Elisabeth Short, who received the nickname of "Black Dahlia" after being the victim of a horrific and yet unsolved murder that received a lot of media attention. This matter may even act as a deterrent for potential buyers who might disconsider using such a tremendous tragedy for profit and marketing purposes.

The reaction of the customers on this rather sensitive topic and the official statements of the brand representatives will probably emerge only after the ad campaign for the fragrance will be officially released. Until then, we can only hope that both the fragrance and the body care products accompanying it will meet the standards of excellence the brand has accustomed us to.

Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey Florale Fragrance

There is nothing else which manages to lift your spirit better than a scent you adore, so if you love floral scents, check out the new L'Eau D'Issey Florale fragrance by Issey Miyake as it is a
delightful scent, perfect for women who love romanticism!

The well know label Issey Miyake has managed to leave its print in the perfume industry in addition to the fashion world and this high interest towards beauty is showing especially through the launch of the latest fragrance, a new generation of the L'eau D'Issey, which was launched close to two decades ago.

L'eau D'Issey was a timeless classic as a scent and the new fragrance introduced, the L'eau D'Issey Florale, has a much more softer, floral scent, making it a perfect match for a more youthful target. Perfumes have always enchanted our senses, so no wonder perfumers are always trying to come-up with something new, a scent which will suit different personalities, one which will take us on a dreamy journey of delight.

It seems that this new fragrance was developed to recruit new customers to the brand and what better way to do this, but through the reinvention of a classic scent, which Miyake created having in mind the scent of water on a woman's skin. Apparently the new fragrance maintains the same concept only with a little bit of a twist: the sensuality of a floral scent on a woman's skin.

L'eau D'Issey Florale brings a new scent to the Issey Miyake perfume collection, a scent which is defined by the following notes: rose, lily, mandarin and white woods. These are all elements which underline sensuality and beauty, elements which can lift your state of spirit instantly.

The lovely bottle the scent is captured in looks great; a soft pink hue that resembles the softness of a lovely pink rose petal. If you're all about floral scents, try the new L'eau D'Issey Florale fragrance available in the following sizes: 50 ml/$66, 90 ml/$89 and a limited edition 25 ml/$47 Eau de Toilette spray.

Eva Mendes is the New Face of Thierry Mugler’s Angel

Eva Mendes has been announced as the new face of Thierry Mugler’s "Angel". The super sexy actress replaces Naomi Watts and will appear in a series of campaigns starting September.
"Sultry" Eva was considered to be the perfect choice to represent and reignite the scent's irresistible properties.

Gorgeous and sensual Eva Mendes is replacing Naomi Watts, who was spokesmodel for the fragrance since 2008, becoming Thierry Mugler's "Angel" new face. The sexy actress will turn up the heat in the ads for the famous brand starting September this year.

Explaining their choice, the company said that they had chosen gorgeous Eva Mendes as the actress might be the perfect embodiment of the fragrance’s "explosive" qualities. And Eva is, without any doubt, the best solution in this sense exuding sex-appeal and maximum femininity. Well, no one can deny the fact that the 36-year-old actress is smoking hot.

"While Naomi Watts’ ethereal beauty embodied the angelic aspect of the fragrance, Thierry Mugler chose to reignite the enticing and explosive dimensions of the fragrance with the sultry Mendes," the company stated. They also added that, "though her obviously flawless physical beauty is in perfect harmony with the artist’s aesthetic canon, Ms. Mendes mesmerized Mugler with her independence, determination and humor."

Throughout time, since the perfume was launched back in 1992, the brand changed their spokesmodels every few years. French actress and model Estelle Lefébure was the first to represent the fragrance, followed, in 1995, by American model and actress Jerry Hall.

Next, in 1998, it was model Amy Wesson to be featured in the ads for "Angel" and, in 2003, model Anna Maria Cseh became Mugler's muse. In 2006, Italian model Bianca Balti continued the "Angel" legend, while Naomi Watts was named the scent's face in 2008.

Now, it's time for Eva Mendes to personify the iconic fragrance. Besides this project, the actress was also named the new face of Reebok EasyTone Apparel collection, becoming global ambassador and a part of Reebok and the Reetoners for the EasyTone spring/summer 2011 collection, a footwear and apparel toning line.

"Angel" is described as something "close to tenderness, to childhood", a great combination between an angelic, soft sweetness and sensual notes, all enclosed in one celestial, dreamy bottle. A charming, irresistible scent that through its invention inaugurated a new olfactory category called "oriental gourmands".

Tips to Wear Your Fragrance Best

Your addiction to wearing fragrance is totally understandable, as everyone wants and loves to smell good. Fragrance influences your state of spirit as aromatherapy proves, so use your favorite scents
but wisely, as there are certain rules you must follow if you wish to leave a soft and sensual scent after you, a scent that will be like your style signature. To ensure you leave a pleasant fragrance print behind you, try to take into consideration the following tips to wear your fragrance best and invest in high quality fragrances.
Wearing too much perfume can have the exact opposite effect you should be looking for, as in this case more can definitely be too much. Try to spritz just enough perfume to have a soft and subtle smell, as excessive perfume can be quite annoying. Adapt your fragrance to the occasion and learn the difference between them to ensure you make the right choice. Take the following tips into account and you'll surely make heads turn, in a positive way:

Keep your fragrance away from light
Keeping your fragrances away from light helps them maintain their chemical properties unchanged, as light can alter these properties and lead to the product's alteration. Maintain your fragrance in their original package or keep them somewhere away from light, so you'll be able to enjoy them for longer. Another alternative is to keep your fragrance in the fridge, as this way it will definitely maintain its properties well preserved and will definitely cool you off during those hot summer days.

Soft or bold scents?
There are different types of fragrances just so you can find the perfect one for you and adapt it to the occasion.
Splash cologne or Eau fraiche is very light scented, lasts for about 1 or 2 hours, similar to body mists; eau de toilette (EDT) keeps about 20% of it's scent all day; eau de parfum (EDP) usually maintains 30-40% of its strength throughout the day. Perfume exctracts maintain about 50% of their scent throughout the day and offer the highest concentration of extracts, thus are the most expensive.

Make it last
If you wish your fragrance lasts longer you need to turn your attention towards the additional products on the range, such as shower gels and body lotions. Wash your body with the shower gel, use the body lotion to moisturize and fragrance your skin, after which apply the perfume on the “hot points” of your body.

Where to apply the fragrance
Apply the fragrance directly on your skin if you wish it lasts longer. Apply the fragrance on the “hot points”, which are the pulse points of your body. Once these points warm-up the skin, the fragrance will be released to envelop your body like silk.

How to choose a fragrance
Choosing a fragrance from the myriad of scents available is definitely not easy, as not all ingredients interact well with your skin and release a scent which appeals to you. Try out only 2 or 3 fragrances on your skin at a time, or else the scents will only mix and you won't be able to determine which is the one that suits you. Allow the fragrances to develop their scent for about 5 hours before deciding, as this way you'll be able to detect the top, middle as well as base notes of the fragrance.

Light during the day
For daytime wear, light and fresh fragrances are the best to use. Floral, fruity, citrus or green scents are suitable for the day, so try to find the ones which match your personality. For the evening you can use more exotic, bold scents with a stronger propulsion.

Alternate fragrances
If you are constantly using the same fragrance, your nose might actually get used to the scent and you might end-up applying it excessively. Try to alternate fragrances so you don't get used to them or ask a friend's opinion on how strong your fragrance is.
