Have a nosey at the latest Nina Ricci resort 2013 collection and get ready for a great dose of soft colors, feminine silhouettes, delicacy, romanticism and gracefulness.
It's time to share yet another achingly cute and uber-feminine Nina Ricci line! And boy oh boy, the house's resort 2013 collection features an array of oh-so-cute and chic goodies that, according to Ricci's creative director Peter Copping, had as source of inspiration "the beach to night and the seventies". The brand never ceases to wow us through incredibly graceful, playful and sophisticated designs. Oh how we have longed for a range of sensual yet wearable and versatile pieces.! And Nina Ricci doesn't disappoint us bringing some ethereal beauties without omitting the fun, vacation-inspired part. It's all about babes wearing flirty dresses with a particular sporty-inspired touch.
Peter Copping has done some really impressive designs over the years by successfully combining the Ricci heritage with a modern, spontaneous vibe. "Nina Ricci has always been an incredibly feminine label, yet with a relaxed feel," the designer says. "I was very lucky, because the heritage left by Nina Ricci was more of a spirit than imposed dogmas. By continuing this approach, I am trying to capture the ultra-feminine side of the modern wardrobe," Peter Copping explained.
Well, just taking a sneak peek at the latest Nina Ricci resort 2013 collection and we are in the world of dreams again! Are you ready for a high dose of delicacy, romanticism and gracefulness? Oh, and did we mention a Parisian-inspired nonchalance? If yes, then have a nosey at the house's newest designs for the upcoming resort season that seems to echo the essence of the Ricci woman who is, as Copping admitted, "typically French—sexy but not vulgar." Chantilly ruffle, feathers and ribbons add cutesy to those diaphanous pieces! The designer took the house's legacy and reinvented it.
Copping admits in an interview with W magazine that what he wanted was to transform the brand's aesthetic into something both pretty and witty. "It drives the ateliers crazy sometimes that, when things are too perfectly made, I’ll ask them to go off and dump them in water or crush them. Sometimes we put the dresses in the steam press, like in [cult eighties TV soap] Prisoner: Cell Block H," said the designer who studied fashion in London at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art. He also explains that, "It’s very important that the clothes relate to women's lives." Check out Nina Ricci's resort 2013 line and you'll find a riot of lust-worthy pieces to suit your style!
